Donald Trump to ‘leave business’ to focus solely on his presidency


Washington: The president-elect of United States Donald Trump has said the is leaving his business so that he can completely focus on his presidency and to avoid any conflict of interest that may arise.

Donald Trump made this announcement through twitter by saying, “I will be holding a major news conference in New York City with my children on December 15 to discuss the fact that i will be leaving.

“My great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! While I am not mandated to do so under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses.”

Previously Donald Trump had remained adamant that there was no conflict of interest and he does not need to separate himself from his business.

But he was under constant criticism from the media, the Wall Street Journal said in an article published on November 17 , it said, “The political damage to a new administration could be extensive. If Mr. Trump doesn’t liquidate, he will be accused of a pecuniary motive any time he takes a policy position.”

The huge business empire of Donald Trump consists of office towers, golf clubs and properties in countries all around the world, the eldest three children of Donald Trump hold important positions in the business empire.
