Magento is usually chosen by entrepreneurs who want to own their website fully. Magento is ideal if you want to be able to expand the website (in the future). There are many modules and extensions available for Magento. Some extensions are free; others are commercial. And if you want something special then there are enough Magento programmers who can take care of customization adjustments.
When renting a website, this is usually not possible. You are then stuck with the supplier and his software. Other Open Source websites such as OpenCart, Prestashop or WooCommerce do not offer the possibilities that Magento does.
Magento is made on growth. You can start with a small shop with 20 products and grow without problems to a frequently visited multistore website with many products, multiple languages and links with accounting packages, suppliers or comparison sites.
Higher in Google:
Magento is very Google friendly. Title tags, Meta tags, XML sitemap, URL rewrites, Canonical pages, etc. are all supported by default. It is, of course, important that your new website is as high as possible in Google. Without visitors, after all, no turnover. Of course, Google does not have to be the only source of visitors, but a high position in Google is often a good source of free and good converting visitors.
Magento is an Open Source website. Open Source means that the software is free for everyone to download and use. You, therefore, pay no license fees. You are the sole owner of the website. You are free to sell, rent or modify the website. Installing and configuring Magento is usually quite a job. This is often outsourced to a technical partner. You can then fully concentrate on filling and running your web store.
If you have several Magento websites, you can manage all websites from one management environment via the Magento Multistore. You can then select the website you want to manage in the management environment. For example, you can view financial reporting on all websites. You can also easily share products between your various web shops. Each website has its www domain and IP address. The Multistore installation is free. I like to explain how everything works and how you can, for example, share the articles between the different web shops. You need a hosting package per website that you want to run.
Multiple languages or websites per country:
Magento can display your website in multiple languages. You will then have to translate all texts or have them translated by a translation agency. In the Magento management environment, you will receive a separate tab with the translation for each product, for each language. Your customer can then choose the correct language on the website. You can also choose to use a separate www domain for each country with the correct extension for that country.
Most famous one step checkout:
Magento 2 one page checkout is one of the most popular extensions for web store software. It ensures that the standard ordering procedure in Magento is reduced from six steps to one. The prices and quantities are automatically updated using Ajax techniques. The address details, invoice details, and payment method are entered on the same page instead of a separate step for each choice.
