A Romanian woman who fell into the Thames during the Westminster terror attack has died, police said. Andreea Cristea became the fifth causality of this brutal attack.
Suspect, Khalid Masood, crushed several by his vehicle at Westminster Bridge, London, after which he killed a police official at parliament building and in return was killed by force on 22nd March.
31 aged architect, Andreea Cristea was over a holiday trip with her boyfriend Andrei Burnaz who sustained a broken foot by this attack, after this attack she was under treatment in hospital, but due to several severe injuries she lost the fight and died today.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he was “deeply saddened to hear of the death of Andreea Cristea”. In a Tweet he said, “Londoners hold her & her loved ones in our thoughts today.”
A family statement confirmed Ms Cristea’s family confirmed her death on Thursday.
The effefcted family said: “After fighting for her life for over two weeks, our beloved and irreplaceable Andreea – wonderful daughter, sister, partner, dedicated friend and the most unique and life loving person you can imagine – was cruelly and brutally ripped away from our lives in the most heartless and spiritless way.
“She will always be remembered as our shining ray of light that will forever keep on shining in our hearts.”
Her family said they are “deeply touched and eternally grateful” to the “never-ending dedication” of paramedics engaged over recovery, they added, “kindness and empathy are beyond compare”.
“There are no words to even begin to describe the crushing pain and emptiness that is left in our hearts.”
Other victims killed in Westminster attack were Aysha Frade, aged 44, who was serving at a London sixth-form college, US tourist Kurt Cochran, 54, from Utah, and Leslie Rhodes, 75, belonged to south London.
