UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Is Happening Tonight

Las Vegas: At last the much awaited rematch between “The Notorious” Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz is happening tonight in the T Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Ever since Conor McGregor lost via submission in UFC 196, he is single handedly focused on getting even with Diaz in the rematch. He refused to fight any other fighter before this rematch and even announced his retirement for a short while.

Conor McGregor has the ability to get into his opponents head and make them fight his fight, but Nate Diaz is different and holds his own when it comes to trash talking.

A day earlier both fighters and their teams got involved in a bottle throwing battle at the press conference, the incident happened as Conor came late to the press conference. As he started to answer the questions Nate stood up and left the press conference.

The incident started when Nate was leaving with his team and he gave Connor the middle finger, it aggravated him and both parties started to throw bottles and drink cans at each other.

The president of UFC, Dana White said, “What everybody’s gotta understand is we’re overseen by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. I guarantee both of these guys will get massive fines. And there’s probably gonna be a hearing, too, after the fight. There could be suspensions, community service; it’s gonna be ugly.”

Although the whole card is overshadowed by Conor and Nate rematch, it also includes other interesting matchups. The most noteable being Anthony “Rumble” Johnson vs Glover Teixeira, the winner of this fight will most probably get a chance for the championship fight.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone vs Rick Story is another interesting fight, it is Donald Cerrone’s third fight at welterweight division. Other fights on the main card include Hyun Gyu Lim vs Mike Perry and Tim Means vs Sabah Homasi both in welterweight category.

The preliminary card for UFC 202 is as under:
