Islamabad: The prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and the chief minister of Punjab province, Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the Turkish prime minister today along with their families.
During his visit the Turkish president will meet with prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the president of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, he will discuss issues of mutual interest as well as local and international situation.
A dinner will be arranged today in honor of the Turkish president at the President House, guests will include federal ministers, members of parliament, military leaders and ambassadors of friendly countries.
The Turkish president will address the joint session of the parliament, whereas prime minister Nawaz Sharif will welcome him in Lahore tomorrow.
Keep in mind that Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the first ever foreign leader to address the joint session of parliament of Pakistan for the three times.
Previously he visited Pakistan in 2009 and then in 2012 and both time he addressed the joint sessions of parliament of Pakistan.
Chinese president Xi Jinping is also among other leaders who have given an address at the joint session of parliament in Pakistan.
