Turkish President declared Dutch as “Nazi remnants and fascists”, over cancelled Rotterdam rally

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has declared the Dutch as “Nazi remnants and fascists”, after the Netherlands withdraws permission for Turkish foreign minister to enter country amid row over cancelled Rotterdam rally.

Before this Netherlands had refused to give Turkish interior minister Molod Chaves Oglou flight to land, he was planned to address in the favour of referendum in Turkey to empower the Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan.

The Dutch prime minister, Mark Rutte said, “Many Dutch people with a Turkish background are authorised to vote in the referendum over the Turkish constitution. The Dutch government does not have any protest against gatherings in our country to inform them about it”.

He added,“But these gatherings may not contribute to tensions in our society and everyone who wants to hold a gathering is obliged to follow instructions of those in authority so that public order and safety can be guaranteed.”

Mayor of Rotterdam city said, that this rally was banned due to the security threats, “He has diplomatic immunity and everything so we will treat him with respect, but we have other instruments to prohibit things happening in public spaces,” Mayor Aboutaleb said.

Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan at a rally address in Istanbul said, that Netherland’s ban over Turkish minister’s flight landing in return said that from now onward, the Netherland flights landing in Turkey will not be allowed as well.
