Orland is known for its more than a dozen theme parks and it is located in the state of Florida. Walt Disney World which consists of two water parks, a Magic Kingdom and Epcot is the main attraction of Orlando. Other famous attractions include the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is part of Universal Orlando along with the Island of Adventure.

Located near Orlando and Kissimmee in Bay Lake, Florida the Walt Disney World Resort is the crown jewel of the Disney’s global corporate empire. The resort holds the record of being the most visited holiday resort in the entire world with over 50 million visitors every year.
The Walt Disney World Resort was opened for visitors on October 1, !971 and it features four theme parks, twenty seven themed hotels, four golf courses, nine hotels which are not themed, two water parks, a camping resort, two mini golf courses, a shopping district and many other venues.

9. Gatorland

Florida is often known as the “Alligator Capital of the World,” so it is not surprising that there is a 110- acre alligator theme park and wildlife preservation center called Gatorland. The park contains thousands of crocodiles and alligators, a breeding pit with a tower for observation and a boardwalk.
Gatorland also features a petting zoo, reptile shows, swamp walks and many educational programs. Nuisance alligators that would otherwise be killed are bought by the park and rescued. The Snakes of Florida exhibition is also held in Gatorland which features different and exotic snake species like the indigo snake, cottonmouth snakes and rattlesnakes.

Apart from its well known attraction “Shamu” the killer whale, SeaWorld has recently expanded and created a new high-tech and interactive marine playground. The new 3-D movie, Turtle Trek that plays at a 360-degree angle is the latest and most favourite attraction of SeaWorld.

SeaWorld also has amazing roller coasters namely the Kraken and the Manta that provide adrenaline filled rides for people brave enough to try them. You can also get up close and personal with wild animals like penguins, dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and many more.

8. Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space center is located right next to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in the east coast of Florida and it is NASA’s flagship facility for payload and launching systems. Ever since 1968 the Kennedy Space Center is also the main center for human space flight.
The KSC carried out such famous space programs as the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle making it a popular of site for tourism. Public tours of the KSC and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station are offered by the visitors complex of KSC.

The Orlando Eye stands at 400 feet tall and is operated by Merlin Entertainments, who also use it as an observation wheel due to its stability. After many delays the Orlando Eye was opened on May 4,2015.

Unlike normal ferris wheels the Orlando Eye features large capsules which are air conditioned and can carry up to fifteen people. The clear glass of the capsules provide an all around view of the area, even Cape Canaveral is visible on clear days.

This famous attraction is a part of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry which is the recreation of the original school from the movie along with the recreation of Hogsmeade which has a lot of restaurants and gift shops themed on the books and movies.
