Srinagar: Another semi-military official was killed while 8 others were injured in a firing incident that occurred in the Indian held Kashmir.
Armed militants attacked a patrolling unit of SSB in the capital of Indian held Kashmir, Srinagar, on Friday.
According to the police one official was killed and eight were injured, five of the injured officials are in serious condition.
Police has said that the attackers took the benefit of darkness and escaped successfully, this attack occurred in the eastern area of Srinagar called Zakura, immediately after the attack the police surrounded the area and started a search operation.
The leader of the Al Umar Mujahideen accepted the responsibility of the attacks, their leader Mushtaq Zargar said all of our mujahideens returned back safely and our organisation will perform more attacks in the future.
Keep in mind that only two days earlier in the north of Srinagar in Pitampura, two armed attackers took over a government building and fought for three days with the Indian army.
The Indian army finally killed the attackers after hitting the building with hundred of mortars and rockets.
On September 18 at least 19 Indian soldiers were killed in an attack on a Indian military camp in Uri, the Indian government claimed that it had performed a surgical strike inside Pakistan held Kashmir and killed at least 2 terrorist.
However, Pakistan denied this claim but India has transferred almost 1.5 million people from the border in case the situation gets escalated.
The relationship between Pakistan and India has gotten more tense as attacks are being constantly occurring in the Indian held Kashmir.
Almost a dozen attacks occurred in both southern and northern Kashmir killing many military and nonmilitary personnel.
Meanwhile India has increased the security of military and nonmilitary installations.
